"When you learn, teach. when you get, give." - Maya Angelou

After taking some time off to further our own knowledge the owls are going to be back to teaching and immersions of our own in 2017! (We've been participating in a self designed sixteen month experiential education of two different permaculture design courses (72 + 96 hours), primitive living classes, conferences, homesteading immersions...and of course, we've been implementing our new permaculture design and experimenting a lot. We simply can't wait to share what we learned with you!)

We do not have a formal workshop schedule planned for spring 2017, as we have a lot more infrastructure to get in place with our fancy new permaculture design. However, we are still going to open on Feb 15th 2017 as usual for custom created one on one classes and small groups, immersions, farm tours, and consultations.

Custom workshops Rain will be happy to put together a custom one on one workshop (or for a small group) on things like: raising cage free rabbits, rabbit processing and cooking, setting up homestead, permaculture, natural farming, transitioning into homesteading, her 150 pound weight loss jouney, food preservation and gluten free or paleo cooking with foods from the farm. Suggested donation is based on length of class, number of people, and subject matter–that info is available via email.

Farm Tours We will also continue doing farm tours this season for a sliding scale donation of $10-20 per person for a 1-2 hour tour of the homestead and some Q&A on our setup. It's a great way to get a little intro into education and experiences at Eight Owls!

If you are interested in an immersion, land consultation, or an online consultation from the homestead–please check out the experiences page for ways you can connect with the ladies of Eight Owls Farmstead this season!

Please contact us directly if you would like to inquire about getting your workshop or event hosted by the farm.

“I have taken many classes at Eight Owls and all have been outstanding! Their way of life off the grid is what most of us can only aspire to.They are the nicest girls ever and are most helpful with questions after the classes. I look forward to many, many classes to come!” –Debra T., Brevard, NC
